"Help": Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès's wife, Agnès, had left him before the massacre: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

The Nantes massacre has kept the French in suspense since that terrible day of April 21, 2011, when the bodies of five family members were found under the terrace of their house. The sole survivor and main suspect in this affair, Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès has been missing for nine years. An unsolved case to which the magazine Society devotes a 36-page investigation, in its last issue published Thursday, July 23, 2020. In this file which traces the life of the fugitive in great detail, the fortnightly evokes the distress of Agnès Dupont de Ligonnès, when his couple began to beat of the wing.

Agnès Dupont de Ligonnès unhappy

Married since 1991 to Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès, whom she met in 1979, the mother of the family published several messages of despair on internet forums, from 2004. "I have concerns in my relationship because I have a husband who is very old-fashioned in his way of being in the family: lThe father is the leader, he gives an order, we execute it without seeing to question or understand, period! In his relationship with me, he plays his role of head of the family, of a husband who must bring back his "crust" … but is neither tender, nor cuddly, nor attentive", she wrote in October, reports Society. "I'm in bad shape, I'm in need of everything: tenderness, love, mutual friends, sex … everything! He was away for five days (…) Tonight he comes home late and I will only have one desire over and over again: to cry! Help !", she confides only a few days later.

In the summer of 2005, the couple separated. Convinced that his "Crystal project" will allow him to make a fortune, Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès asks his wife to give him 46,000 euros of the 350,000 she received when her father died. But Agnès Dupont de Ligonnès refuses. "These inheritance crumbs are her only chance of ever being able to live on her own. This is also all she has left of both of her deceased parents. The refusal provokes the fury of Xavier, who leaves the houseWorse still, the future fugitive reveals the details of their separation in a six-page letter to their relatives.

Three months later, Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès returned to the family home as if nothing had happened. Under the influence of her husband, Agnès Dupont de Ligonnès wrote a letter in which she claimed to have been "influenced by bad friends"."Xavier has never lived on my hook like a heritage nibbler","I have faith in his projects, which are now well advanced and promising, and I regret having put a strain on him", can we read there according to comments reported by Society. Sentences which suggest that this letter was written under duress.
