Archana Choudhary was leaving her home with her 15 month old son whena tiger pounced on them. The animal tried to bite the toddler’s head but the heroic mother intervened.

The tiger finally got scared and ran away when villagers came to the rescue. If she managed to save the life of her son, Archana Choudhary does not come out unscathed. According to information from local authorities relayed by Le Parisien, she had punctured lungs and also has injuries to the abdomen. “She was admitted to hospital. She is out of danger and recovering. The baby is also doing well”say the authorities.

As for the baby, his head was nicked by the animal’s fangs. According to local media including the daily Times of India, incidents between people and animals are on the rise.
