Former key figure in the Canal+ sports department, where she notably presented The Canal Rugby Club every week, Isabelle Ithurburu decided to take a turn in her career during the summer of 2023. The journalist thus accepted TF1’s proposal to take back control of the show 50′ insidewhile embodying the Mag of the 2023 Rugby World Cup in parallel. Since the start of the season, the host has received a different guest every week whose life and career she retraces. Saturday March 9, 2024, Isabelle Ithurburu invited comedian Booder to 50′ inside. The journalist went to meet the actor at the Paname Comedy Club in Paris, where he regularly tests his sketches. During this interview, the host notably questioned her guest about the health problems he encountered during his birth.
“You were born in Morocco. You very quickly had serious lung problems. Your dad, who worked in France, had you repatriated with your mom to be able to treat you. To try everything to save you. Behind you will spend six years at Necker hospital“, first recalled Isabelle Ithurburu. “Yes, with back and forth“, said the actor. “Do you consider yourself a miracle today?“, the journalist then asked her guest. “You have before you a person who was born in August 1978, and who was to die in December 1978“, underlined the comedian. “The village doctor told my mother that I would not survive the winter. I was born with very severe asthma, bronchiolitis, it was very complicated. So, what else can happen to me? I am living my second life. It can never be worse than what I’ve already experienced“, Booder then added.
“My parents? They’re my heroes!”
“What do you owe your parents today?“, Isabelle Ithurburu wanted to know. “They are my heroes!“, said the actor. “I saw my dad who came home from work tired, but who had to go to the hospital to see me. To see if everything is going well, look at the latest exams. You should know that my mother had her child taken away from her. They took me straight away to take care of me and at the time you weren’t allowed to sleep with your child in the hospital.”also underlined Booder, while specifying that he will not thank “never enough“his parents for everything they did for him.
