Last night was held one of the most anticipated shows of men’s fashion week for spring-summer 2024: the first Louis Vuitton show with Pharrell Williams as creative director of the collections. The stars were numerous to attend the parade, installed on the Pont Neuf in the capital. On the front row, we could see Zendaya, Beyoncé, Leonardo DiCaprio but also Rihanna.
The pregnant singer with her second child looked stunning in a pixelated denim outfit that showed off her baby bump. An outfit that she chose to coordinate with that of her companion A$AP Rocky. But it’s a whole other detail of her look that created the surprise. An extremely rare beauty “misstep” for the singer who seems to have wanted to revisit a 90s makeup trend.
Rihanna surprises with a black lip liner
As we can see in the photos of the after-show, Rihanna appears with a very surprising lip makeup. The singer decided to make up her lips with a black contour pencil. A very marked contrast with the rest of her mouth, simply covered with a transparent gloss. The star seems to have wanted to revisit a makeup trend from the 90s where it was very common to apply a darker lip liner, to bring more volume to her mouth.
Is Rihanna about to launch a new trend? Since the launch of her Fenty Beauty brand, the singer has continued to shake up beauty codes and launch new make-up trends. It wouldn’t be surprising to see more black lip liners in the coming months!
