Her boyfriend stabs her about 30 times, she saves her life by making a suggestion

Martina Turner is a miracle. At 53, this university professor from Newcastle was left for dead by her boyfriend. “I remember him shouting behind me, ‘I’m not going anywhere’, said Martina, still upset. Then he took out the knife. I didn’t understand what had happened, until I saw the blood running down my t-shirt on the front. I turned around and said, ‘what are you doing?'” In the kitchen of their house, Steven Wood grabbed a huge knife. The mum-of-three tried to defend herself with her hands and arms and begged Steven Wood to think of her family. But then he took a large kitchen knife and said to her: “I have to finish you off because I won’t go to jail for you”. For long minutes, Martina Turner begged him not to kill her and she had an idea that saved her life. “I told myself that I had to be smartshe remembers. I went into survival mode and told myself not to panic.

He was convicted of attempted murder

With incredible composure, she had a very good idea: “I suggested he phone his son, because his son is everything to him. He grabbed his phone and stabbed me with the knife in the chest.” Meanwhile, Martina had time to hide in a closet. On the phone, she heard her ex-companion tell everything to her son.
