The hairdresser reveals in particular that he had a very specific condition to fulfill in order to do her hair on her wedding day: “Kate Middleton keeps the long hair and at the time, she really wanted to highlight them. On the big day, she had her hair down, with only a few strands tied back”. An unexpected prerequisite, at the initiative of Kate Middleton herself, which had remained secret until then.

Unlike other brides, every choice Kate Middleton made for her wedding, from her dress to her hairstyle, was going to be scrutinized by the whole world. The preparations were therefore quite long, reveals the hairdresser. “We had several meetings to discuss the hairstyle. Once we knew exactly what we were going to do, we practiced on Kate.” But due to her official commitments and busy schedule, she was sometimes unavailable. The hairdresser therefore found a solution: “When she couldn’t come, we did tests on my personal assistant at the salon, who has roughly the same cut and texture of hair” he explains.
