For the past month, Shanna Kress and her companion Jonathan Matijas have been sharing on YouTube a logbook allowing Internet users to follow closely the pregnancy of the former reality TV candidate. Without filter, the couple reveals their daily life between moments of complicity and appointment with the gynecologist. Tuesday, May 31, a shadow was added to the picture, the ex-girlfriend of Thibaut Garcia announcing in an Instagram story that her pregnancy was not going as planned. “For a week, you’ve known that we’re not doing very well… We finally decided not to hide anything and to assume what we’re going through. (…) We received a call that changed the course of our lives”, she had indicated before specifying that one of the twins had a 98% chance of being with trisomy 21.
As a result of’amniocentesisShanna Kress and her half made a radical decision: “Either we have a [bébé] who will stay, or we don’t have any.” Friday, June 10, 2022, the famous tandem had then published a new video to take stock of the situation:We asked the doctor to terminate the pregnancy of the baby with Trisomy 21. It’s difficult, but it’s our choice. It was therefore necessary to sign a document and it will be necessary to keep the two children until the delivery.” In comments, many people then showed their support for future parents : “No one can judge your choices, they belong to you. On May 1, the two reality TV candidates had expressed on social networks their happiness to welcome on earth these new beings: “2 +2 = US… They are TWINS! The best day of our lives is coming!” But the bad news had undermined the morale of Shanna Kress, who is known for her solar personality : “Since we learned the news, the motivation is no longer there at all. I just want to stay in bed and do nothing”, she indicated on YouTube. And to add:We really need time, to rest psychologically.”
