here are 4 free tax aids to help you complete the 2024 declaration

You still have one month, or a little more depending on your department, to declare your 2023 income. Do you have questions? Here are 4 ways to contact the tax authorities or your tax center to get reliable answers.

Since Thursday April 11, you can complete your 2024 tax return online on income received in 2023. Does the exercise seem like a puzzle in your case? Two options are available to you. Either, like just over 10 million households, you benefit from automatic declaration, or you can follow the assistance guide offered, free of charge, by the General Directorate of Public Finances (DGFiP).

By messaging

The DGFiP offers exchanges by email thanks to the secure messaging accessible on impots.gouv.fr. You can access it with your tax number and a password or via the France Connect platform.

Via this channel you can communicate in a personalized way with the tax administration, in complete security, to ask a question, report a difficulty, indicate a change in situation or transmit any useful information to your management department.

By telephone

A unique and free number (+ price of a local call), open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., mainland hours, is available: 0809401401.

In addition to answering your questions orally, tax agents have a screen sharing tool to help you complete your declaration.

Make a telephone appointment

For any difficult subject, it is possible to make a telephone appointment to have a dedicated slot.

Appointments can be made on the impots.gouv.fr website (Contact and Appointment button from your personal space or at the top of the home page) or by telephone.

In the event of a major or technical problem, meetings can take place in your Public Finance center.

The local network

Since 2019, the General Directorate of Public Finances (DGFiP) has gone from 3,366 to almost 4648 points of contactincluding its own receptions in public finance centers, France services and “Public Finance” offices carried out, for example, in town halls, explains the DGFiP in the press kit launching the 2024 declarative campaign.

These fixed or mobile meeting points (itinerant buses) are used to inform taxpayers or accommodate appointments made online if the Public Finance center is far from home.

As in the agencies France services, public finance agents, equipped with all the necessary tools, will be able to answer all users’ questions thanks to remote access to their file. Be careful though, no paper declaration can be submitted there.

As of February 1, 2024, the proximity payment system was based on 15,347 traders spread over 7,511 municipalities.
