Here are finally the new 2021 emojis (and we already have our favorite …)

Notice to emoji freaks: the Unicode Consortium has just unveiled seven new "buddies", which will soon be in everyone's conversation. And one of them recalls a feminist activist well known in the networks …

Fans ofemojis, you will be delighted! Indeed, and as if to add color to your return to school, the new emojis have just been announced as every year by the Unicode Consortium (barbaric name which designates the organization responsible for the addition of these pictograms on the keyboards of our smartphones). Seven new illustrations will therefore be launched next year. As in a market, there is something for all tastes, from the inflamed heart to the mended heart, but also, and we are under the spell, an emoji bearded woman which reminds us of bearded activist Harnaam Kaur. Note also the face that sighs in JPP mode (an ode to your service chef?), Another that hides in the clouds, and a last with spiral eyes, which we are already looking for how to use.

The other good news: 210 new skin color variations will also be added to emojis representing same-sex couples as heterosexuals. "Most of the skin tones will be aimed at groups of multi-person emojis, couples with hearts and those who are kissing " details the Consortium. An effort of representativeness that we applaud.
Be careful, however, as stated in Geek's Journal, the designs of these new smileys are subject to change depending on the platform used, such as Android or Apple. Still, we can't wait to take ownership of the new kids, which will be available in a minor update called Emoji 13.1.
