Sophie Davant’s favorite anti-aging active ingredients

  • Hyaluronic acid : ideal for hydrating and plumping the skin, it is one of the star active ingredients in anti-aging care because it smoothes surface wrinkles and gives a nice bounce to the skin. “I use it, depending on the dryness of my skin, in the morning and/or evening in the form of a cream, serum or eye contour, alone or combined with other active ingredients. I choose a product with hyaluronic acids of different molecular weights for greater effectiveness. When my skin is particularly dry, I use a hyaluronic acid-based sheet mask. • Retinol : this vitamin A derivative boosts cell renewal as well as the natural production of collagen and elastin. Be careful, it can sometimes be an irritant for sensitive skin, which is why we recommend using it in the evening at a low concentration and applying sun protection to your skin the next day. “Personally, I reserve its use for winter. Finally, patience is required: a few months are often necessary for visible results, but it is worth it!” explains Sophie Davant.
  • Vitamin C : antioxidant, it stimulates the production of collagen, evens and brightens the complexion. “I use it in the morning (sun protection required on top), as a treatment, when I find my skin tired or dull. And for those who are tempted: no, putting orange slices on your face does not have the same effect!”
