To cope with inflation, certain social benefits will be increased by 4.6%. Their exact amounts were revealed by the Ministry of Labor, Health and Solidarity.
It’s official: several social benefits will increase from next April. Like every year, the amount of allowances is revalued according to inflation. Last year, the revaluation was 1.6%. And last September, provisional amounts were announced as part of discussions on the Social Security financing bill (PLFSS). While in 2023, inflation records a rate of 4.9% according to INSEE, the amount of benefits concerned will increase by 4.6%. This Friday, March 29, the Ministry of Labor, Health and Solidarity revealed the exact amount of aid after revaluation.

This is for example the case of the RSA, which goes from 607.75 euros per month to 635.71 euros for a single person. As a reminder, the conditions for receiving RSA will be modified : you will need to demonstrate 15 to 20 hours of activity per week. These activities can be an internship, professional training or a professional integration procedurebut not volunteering.
Social assistance increased by 4.6%
The activity bonus also goes above 600 euros: for a single person without resources, it increases from 595.2 euros to 622.63 euros. For victims of domestic violence, emergency aid will increase from 240 euros to 251.04 euros. The government specifies that “the revaluation [du RSA et de la prime d’activité] takes effect gradually between April and Septemberaccording to the date of the beneficiaries’ quarterly declaration of resources”because their method of calculation is quarterly.

The allowance for disabled adults, demaritalized a few months ago, will go above 1,000 euros : thus, a disabled person alone, without children and without resources will see their allowance increase from 971.37 euros to 1,016.05 euros. The specific solidarity allowance, which can be granted when unemployment rights are exhausted, passes from 545.10 euros to 570.30 euros for a month of 30 days. The gross daily amount of the daily support allowance for a person at the end of life passes from 60.55 euros to 63.34 euros.
Certain family benefits will also be increased
On April 1, 2024, certain family benefits will also see their amount increase. Indeed, the monthly basis for calculating family allowances (BMAF) is revalued to 466.44 euros. Thus, families with two or more children will see the basic amount of their family allowances increase from 141.99 euros to 149.26 euros.

For his part, the birth bonus is increased from 1,019.43 euros to 1,071.65 euros, while the adoption premium will increase from 2,038.85 euros to 2,143.29 euros. In the event of completely interrupted activity, the amount of the shared child education benefit (PREPARE) is revalued from 428.71 euros to 450.67 euros. Through these numerous upgrades, the government wishes to actively support citizens in difficulty.
