here are the big winners of French video games

Because there’s more than just the Game Awards in life, yesterday another prestigious ceremony took place here in France: Les Pégases 2024. A great evening which saw a good number of video games from all over the world take place. get congratulated and crowned in different categories. Homegrown video games, all developed in France, but also a selection of foreign hits which have shined in their dedicated category.

Last night around 8 p.m. and broadcast live on the France TV Twitch channel which supports the event, the Pégases 2024 took place. An evening rich in events which offered nearly 19 prestigious titles to as many games considered as references in their field. Among the nominees, we find big titles from Ubisoft like The Crew Motorfest and Assassin’s Creed Mirage, as well as many slightly more modest games like Unknown Soldiers: Brothers in Arms, Dordogne, EbbingChants of Sennaar or even The Wreck. Very nice games which for the most part all shone at the Pégases.

We finally have the winners of the 2024 Pegasus ceremony!

Even though GOTY 2023 was present, he was unable to win the ultimate prize of the evening. Baldur’s Gate 3, however, won in its category by becoming Best Foreign Game, no surprise as Larian’s software excels. Ubisoft also won some nice titles such as the Audience Award with Assassin’s Creed Mirage or even that of Best Game Service with The Crew Motorfest. But it is above all Unknown Soldiers: Brothers in Arms which was a hit, the indie game under the aegis of the publisher, won no less than 3 prizes. A very good performance.

On the other hand, the ultimate prize goes to another independent game: Chant of Sennaar from Rundisc studio, published by Focus Entertainment. This extremely atypical puzzle game, both artistically and in terms of gameplay, has won over everyone. Chant of Sennaar was thus voted Best Game of the Year at Pégases 2024 in addition to receiving Best Independent Game and Best Game Design. A great success for a title that clearly deserves to be known.
