Here are the configurations of the Silent Hill 2 remake on PC

Remake developed by Bloober Team, Silent Hill 2 follows the major logic of current game releases by not limiting itself to the field of consoles. Planned on PC as well, and benefiting from a one-year temporary console exclusivity on PlayStation 5, the horrific title showed in the short trailer released a few days ago a very clear visual burst. Controversial, this new rendering has at least proven one thing, the necessary configurations risked suffering the consequences.

This is the case with rather greedy recommended technical specifications: GeForce RTX 2080 or AMD Radeon 6800XT graphics cards, Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X processors and equivalents, all with 16 GB of RAM. Despite the fact that the hardware requested is very recent (less than 4 years old for the GeForce for example), it is clearly specified that the game will only run at 30 FPS with high visual quality. It will indeed be necessary to cut back on this aspect to reach 60. It is also possible to play in 4K, but only with the contribution of DLSS technology – or similar solutions.

From the point of view of the minimum configuration, the program is as follows: GeForce GTX 1080 graphics cards, AMD Radeon RX 5700 or equivalent, Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X processors and 12 GB of RAM. This will give you access to 30 FPS in full HD, with low or average overall visual quality. To see now the material necessary for the total experience, that is to say both an optimal rendering and the grail of 60 FPS, Konami not having communicated this information. But given the restrictions of the recommended configuration, optimization does not seem to be at the heart of the project for the moment. Finally, in terms of size, you will have to free up 50 GB on your hard drive.
