You still haven’t received the energy check? Good news, we now know how those who were forgotten in the 2024 automatic sending campaign will be able to make their request. A counter will be put online from July until the end of 2024on the site checkenergie.gouv.fr.
Nearly a million new forgotten beneficiaries?
As a reminder, this window was promised by the government after the alert launched by numerous associations which estimated the number of forgotten households at nearly 1 million this year. Energy check 2024: should you claim this aid of up to 277 euros?
In April, the energy check was therefore automatically sent to households who had already received it in 2023, but not those who only became eligible this year, based on their income declared in 2023.

In a press release released this Monday, May 6, the Minister of the Economy cites young people who are entering working life (first-time tax filers), households who have experienced a drop in income between 2021 and 2022 or households who have experienced a birth in 2022.
Requests online or by telephone and post
To benefit from the energy check, you must have an annual reference tax income (calculated from income received in 2022 and declared to the tax administration in 2023) of less than 11,000 euros. They will have to submit several documents to make the request via this counter:
- A tax number;
- An identity document;
- An energy bill in the name of the applicant.
Bercy, depending on the case, will issue an energy check, or issue an additional energy check, or will change the check initially received by the household for a new check.
