Here are the first incredible images of the Elden Ring expansion

Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have shared the first trailer for Shadow of the Erdtree, the long-awaited expansion toElden Ring. It will be available in June.

Bandai Namco and FromSoftware inevitably made it an event. WhileElden Ring will celebrate its second anniversary on February 25, 2024, here is finally the first trailer for Shadow of the Erdtree. This is the game expansion revealed a year ago with a single artwork. Since then, the two companies have been relatively quiet about it, to better maintain surprise.

Good news: we will soon return to Entre-Earth, the universe ofElden Ring. The three-minute video ends with the release date of the DLC, which will be available on June 21, 2024 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PC. Needless to say, you must own the base game to have access to this content, which will offer several hours of gameplay. And lots of moments of suffering.

The video for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is breathtaking

What a joy to dive back into Elden Ring... These images of Shadow of the Erdtree, as always cryptic, make you want a lot. We can already expect clashes with bosses that are even more dizzying than in the base game. It’s a habit of FromSoftware, which loves to reserve its most powerful, and/or original, enemies for the DLC of its games (this was the case with the Dark Souls trilogy or even Bloodborne).

We can also hope for some clarifications on the lore ofElden Ring which, remember, was written in part by George RR Martin (the author of Game Of Thrones). There is no doubt that the most dedicated fans are likely to spend the next few months deciphering every second, looking for clues about the narrative elements of this new story which will leave its mark.

We are therefore exactly four months away from the launch ofElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. We could have feared a much later release but, ultimately, summer 2024 will start with a bang.
