here are the new official amounts of payments in May from the CAF and the MSA

The social benefits paid by the CAF in May, for the month of April, will be increased, according to decrees published this Tuesday in the Official Journal. Here are the new amounts.

The 4.6% increase in several social benefits paid by the CAF or the MSA will indeed be effective from April 1. Several decrees were published in Official newspaper this Tuesday April 30 which confirm the latest announcements from the Minister of Solidarity.

The revaluation concerns the allowance for adults with disabilities (AAH) and the Active Solidarity Income (RSA). This logical increase is provided for by the Social Security Code. The latter indicates that the amount of these benefits must change according to the increase in prices calculated over a period of two years.

This increase will be visible on CAF or MSA payments triggered on Monday May 6 for the month of April.

A bonus of 28 euros per month for RSA

A single recipient eligible for RSA will therefore see their monthly benefit increase from 607.75 euros to 635.71 euros, an increase of approximately 28 euros per month. A separate decree was issued for residents of Mayotte where the amount of RSA increases to 317.86 euros per month for a single person.

The 1.3 million CAF beneficiaries who receive the adult disability allowance (AAH) will also see the amount of their benefit increase from May 6. This social assistance reserved for disabled people, subject to means conditions, will see its amount, currently set at 971.37 euros per month, increase by 45 euros to approximately 1016.05 euros.

The AAH thus exceeds the symbolic threshold of 1000 euros per month, full rate and for a single person. The increase also concerns the Education Allowance for Disabled Children (AEEH), which increases to 149.26 euros per month per child, or 6.56 euros more, and the Daily Caregiver Allowance (AJPA).

Other CAF allowances must also increase for the May payments: the activity bonus, paid to workers with modest incomes, will increase to 622.63 euros for a single person without children for example.

Under-indexation of benefits in 2025?

But this revaluation of 4.6% based on inflation may not be renewed next year. The Deputy Minister in charge of Public Accounts, Thomas Cazenave, has already suggested the possibility of not adjusting certain benefits to the inflation rate in 2025 to make savings.
