On the occasion of the Electrify Expo on Long Island in New York, Volkswagen presented a version of the ID. Buzz fully equipped for camping. This is a kit designed by the company QUQUQ, a brand specializing in camping modules for individuals.
After having presented in June 2023 the 7-seater version of the ID. Buzz intended for the American market, Volkswagen continues to promote its electric combi in the land of Uncle Sam. The brand was notably present on the weekend of August 18 at the Electrify Expo in Long Island (New York). For the occasion, the German manufacturer exhibited a version of the ID. Buzz draped in two-tone gray and blue metallic paint fully equipped for camping.
Indeed, this model had several equipment designed for outdoor use. We owe this all-in-one module to QUQUQ, brand specializing in interior fittings for passenger vehicles.
More specifically, it is BusBox-4, a module specially designed for the ID. Volkswagen Buzz. “The BusBox-4 is particularly suitable for ID. buzz. Just put it in the trunk and everything you need for the trip is on board: bed, kitchen, water supply and storage space”. summarizes QUQUQ on its official website.

For the manufacturer, the idea is above all to show the American public the different possibilities of fitting out the ID. Buzz long wheelbase. An essential selling point in the United States, the world’s largest motorhome market. Going back to the BusBox-4, this is a 62 kg box which includes in particular:
- a foldable cold foam mattress 10 cm thick (foldable in three parts)
- a 100% cotton bed cover
- a compartment for the kitchen with two burners with protection against the wind
- Two gas cartridges
- a tap fed by two 10 liter water cans
- Two stainless steel bowls
- a 500 daN lashing strap
According to QUQUQ, it is also possible optionally add a 15 to 20 liter refrigerator which can be plugged into a 12 V socket in the boot of the van. The main advantage of this module remains its ease of installation. According to the brand, it only takes a minute to deploy. Owners simply fold down the seats before unfolding the mattress. Then all that remains is to pull out the various drawers to install your makeshift kitchen.
