Adobe Firefly is a new artificial intelligence capable of generating images (and a whole lot of content) from simple text. It will integrate in particular with Photoshop.
Since all the tech giants are getting into artificial intelligence, Adobe had to unveil an image-generating AI too. So here is Firefly which invites itself into the “Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, Experience Cloud and Adobe Express workflows“. The company further states that:the first applications that will benefit from Adobe Firefly features will be Adobe Express, Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator“.
Like a Midjourney or the recently unveiled Bing Image Creator, Adobe Firefly wants you to be able to generate images from text written in simple words. It doesn’t stop there either. The brand’s press release evokes a great diversity of content to be generated: “images, audio, illustrations, videos or 3D content, but also new brushes or color gradients as well as the possibility of transforming their videos in just a few clicks ».
The Adobe Firefly beta is already available on the dedicated site.
AI based on royalty-free content
“Adobe Firefly makes it quick and easy to create unlimited variations of content, infinitely editable“, writes the firm. The press release specifies that the creations of its AI are above all intended for commercial use. In other words, this new tool wants above all to delight the professional world.
To guard against possible legal problems, Adobe specifies that Firefly was trained based on “Adobe Stock content, freely licensed content and public domain content whose copyright has expired“.
