Because it’s not just laptops in life, Acer also let us handle its new Aspire S 32. This (very) large format all-in-one computer is full of good ideas, and it could quickly get a place on your banker’s desk or that of your attending physician.

Reaching out to independent professionals and why not companies is Acer’s objective with its new Aspire S. Available in 27 and 32-inch versions, this new all-in-one computer benefits from an intriguing concept and some very good ideas to stand out while offering a top-flight technical sheet. The 32-inch model (which we were able to approach) nevertheless remains the most appealing in our opinion, in particular because of the relative rarity of this large format on the AIO PC market.

A rather clever concept

At first glance, the Aspire S really looks like a classic screen. Acer has chosen to house all the components and connectors of its new AIO in the foot of the product to take advantage of a nice finesse at the level of the slab… but the most interesting thing is not there. Acer is, in fact, on a small panel of peripherals (all provided by default) that can be attached or detached as desired. In this case, a terminal located at the back of the screen allows you to magnetize a webcam when you need it. You can also, on the same principle, unclip a touchpad hidden in the base of the device thanks to a magnetic attachment point.

In detail, Acer will provide the product with two different webcams to accompany this “modular” concept (it may not be excluded that other accessories will be sold separately in the future). The first is quite classic (1080p) but compact, the second is more cumbersome, but offers much better definition (1440p) and benefits from integrated LED lighting to further improve the shot (like a ring light ). Discretion in one case, quality in the other.

The touchpad mentioned above is for its part interesting since it supports a stylus (provided there too) which could be very practical for carrying out, for example, signatures of contracts or prescriptions by freehand. Well done Acer! More incidentally, a fingerprint sensor is also housed in the foot to allow quick and secure identification. Acer has finally told us that a classic keyboard and mouse are also delivered with the Aspire S 32, which is definitely very complete.

Specifications and launch modalities

Powered by a small cord (the only one required to operate the product) the Aspire S 32 includes for the rest, an Intel Core i7-13700H processor and a 32-inch QHD + IPS screen in 16:10 format. A little less well equipped, the 27-inch model is limited to a 12th generation Core i5 or i7 processor. There is also a generous selection of connectors on the 32-inch model, with four USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, a full-size SD card reader, two HDMI outputs, an Ethernet jack and a headphone jack.
