Following the Z6 and Z7, Nikon introduces the Z50 with a more modest 20.9 Mpx APS-C sensor. Thanks to it, the manufacturer intends to offer an entry-level product in a more compact format to appeal to as many people as possible.

After its Z6 and Z7, Nikon presents a Z50 which will undoubtedly appeal to many photographers. If certain shortcomings such as the absence of stabilization, a limited exposure time or a definition of only 20.9 megapixels show a somewhat timid position on the part of Nikon, it is clear that the Z50 is a well-designed device. The ergonomics inherited from the superior boxes are a success and the image quality is quite good. Nikon thus positions itself advantageously in the entry-level field of hybrids with APS-C sensor.
