A 4% increase already applies
Last year, the increase was 1.8% in April… before a exceptional boost of 4% in the heart of summer in the face of soaring inflation. This summer increase of 4%, carried by the purchasing power law, was indeed punctual, and it was above all an advance on the annual revaluation, more than a real boost.

The announcement of the 1.6% increase was initially relayed by the site thank you for the info, before being confirmed by AFP. More precisely, the increase will be very slightly less than 1.6%, from 1.54%, if you compare the benefits of March and April 2023.
This is again explained by the calendar: the annual increase is based on a coefficient calculated on the basis of a 12-month inflation average (from February 2022 to January 2023) compares the same average over the previous 12 months.

When will you take advantage of this increase?
There remains the other calendar complication: why will an increase announced on April 1, 2023 not be visible on the transfer of the CAF programm on Wednesday April 5? Because the transfer of the 5th of the month is made under the service due for the month coul. So the RSA, the activity bonus or the March allowance for the payment of April 5. And Friday, May 5 for the payment of the enhanced benefit for the month of April.
