Since Wednesday March 20, Navigo subscribers can request compensation for lack of punctuality in transport in 2023. Here are the lines concerned, and the procedure to follow to obtain this reimbursement.
If you use Parisian public transport, you may have experienced difficulties in recent months. But these latter can today be transformed into sounding and stumbling species. For the third year, a dedicated site was put online to allow users of Ile-de-France transport (trains and RER) to receive compensation in case of delay rpt on their line.
As part of the contracts concluded with operators (companies hired to ensure the operation of the lines, from driving to maintenance), le-de-France Mobilits imposes objectives in terms of punctuality. When its objectives are not achieved, financial penalties are required of operators and a reimbursement campaign is automatically set up to compensate those primarily concerned: travelers, explains le-de-France Mobilits (IDFM).
Up to one and a half months reimbursement
Eligible users are holders of a Navigo Imagine Student, Imagine R School, Navigo Annual (all areas), Navigo Annual Senior, Navigo Mois (all areas), Navigo 50% Month Reduction (all areas) and Navigo Solidarit 75 pass. % Month (all zones).
The amount reimbursed is personalized for each traveler, depending on your package, the routes used by the user and the number of months of package purchased during the period in question. The compensation ranges from half a month to a month and a half of monthly reimbursement..
But then, who can claim this reimbursement? As a reminder, if an axis has experienced less than 80% punctuality for at least 3 months, this is a delay eligible for reimbursement, the site further explains. This year, compensation also concerns subscribers living or working on a route whose annual punctuality was less than 85%. For the year 2023, this concerns RER lines A, B, C, D and line P.
