End of suspense. Sony has finally unveiled the list of PS1, PS2, PS3 and PSP games that will be available at the launch of the new PS Plus formulas.
That’s it, we finally know the list of “classic” games that will fill the PS Plus Premium and Deluxe offers. Subscribers who select these two formulas will be able to take advantage of a catalog of “retro” titles, ranging from the PS1 to the PS3, which until then was still kept secret. Sony has finally revealed the content. And yes, there is Siphon Filter in the lot.
PS Plus Premium: all about PS1, PS2, PSP and PS3 games
We are going to make people disappointed right away, there is a good chance that the favorite game of your childhood or adolescence will be absent subscribers. For the launch of its new PS Plus offerings, Sony has focused on a handpicked selection of games. Some of them will also benefit from improved resolution and frame rates compared to their original version. Regarding PS1 and PSP games, players will benefit from a new interface with menus allowing them to save their game at any time and even rewind the game in the middle of the game.
What about those who have already purchased some of the titles in the selection in digital version? No need to checkout again or have a PS Plus subscription to play it on PS4 or PS5. All they have to do is go to the PS Store and download them for free. You’ve got it right, some of the PlayStation classics will be available for individual purchase, at an as yet unspecified price. And without further ado, the moment you’ve all been waiting for, the PS Plus Premium retro games list. Note that PS2 games from launch will only be available in their remastered versions, like some PS3 titles.
A few minutes after the announcement, some players have already expressed their disappointment. Rest assured, new games will be added every month. With a little patience, the games they feel are missing will certainly come in time.
