Now that the first version of Android 15 is available for Pixel users, we know which Samsung Galaxy smartphones should receive the final version, expected by the end of the year.
While Pixel users can already try the first Developer Preview of Android 15, what about Samsung users? Samsung is one of the largest Android manufacturers, and it has a huge lineup of Galaxy devices that could be eligible for the Android 15 update. In this article, we’ll list the list of all Galaxy devices that are expected to receive the One UI 7.0 update based on Android 15.
Samsung has improved its software update policy in recent years, and has promised to deliver three major operating system updates and four years of security updates to most of its Galaxy devices. Better yet, the latest Galaxy S24s will receive updates for 7 years. It means that Any Galaxy device launched with Android 12 or later should receive the Android 15 update. However, some older devices that launched with Android 11 or earlier may also receive the update, depending on their popularity and hardware capabilities.

So here are all the Galaxy devices that are expected to receive the Android 15 update, based on Samsung’s software update policy and current device availability. Howeverthis list is not final, and Samsung may add or remove certain devices from the list in the future.
Samsung usually releases its One UI updates a few months after Google releases the stable version of Android, so we can expect that One UI 7.0 update based on Android 15 is coming by the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025. Samsung could also launch a beta program for some of its devices before the final versionbut we will obviously keep you informed as soon as it becomes available.
