The deployment of the MIUI 14 overlay based on Android 13 is ongoing. Today, no less than seven smartphones from Redmi and Poco are affected. These mainly entry-level and mid-range devices will therefore also be entitled to the latest refinements of the Chinese manufacturer’s interface.
According to the MIUI Portal site, Xiaomi is preparing to deploy its software overlay based on Android 13, MIUI 14, to seven new devices. As we know, Android 14 should be available to the general public from August, or September 2023. Since its release in December 2022, MIUI 14 has already been offered to high-end Xiaomi smartphones such as the Xiaomi 13, for example. In recent times, the Chinese company has focused on making the software overlay available to devices fromentry and mid-range of Redmi and Poco.

Seven new smartphones will be able to benefit from the new interface offered by MIUI 14. Here is the list:
- Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G/Redmi Note 11E Pro
- POCO M5s
- Redmi Note 11
- Redmi Note 11 NFC
- Redmi Note 11S 5G
- Redmi Note 11 S
- Redmi 10
It should therefore be noted that devices such as the Redmi Note 11, which offers a complete experience at a low price, will be the first beneficiaries of this update.
Xiaomi now offers MIUI 14 on seven Poco and Redmi smartphones
Although MIUI 14 is above all optimized for the most powerful devices powered by Qualcomm’s SoCs, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 8 Gen 1+ and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Xiaomi is now looking at entry-level Redmi and Poco smartphones. According to the manufacturer, the latter will thus be able to benefit from the Photon Engine, an engine which according to Xiaomi allowsspeed up third-party app performance by 88% and significantly reduce energy consumption.

At the user interface level, they will also be able to personalize their smartphone thanks to the “Super icons”, which make it possible to display icons of different sizes and to modify their layout more freely.
