The 2023 online income tax return will begin this Thursday. Here are all the dates to remember so as not to do it too late and thus avoid paying late penalties.

The 2023 tax return campaign has already started last week with the sending of paper forms for certain taxpayers which runs between April 6 and 25. There online declaration opening date on the impots.gouv.fr website is it fixed at Thursday April 13.

For the online declaration, the deadline is Thursday, May 25 for residents of departments numbered from 1 to 19, therefore Marseille, Nice, Gap or in Corrze, for whom the deadline is the earliest each year. The deadline is also set at May 25 for French nationals residing abroad. For those in departments 20 to 54 (Bordeaux, Nantes, Rennes, Dijon, etc.), the deadline is one week later, i.e. Thursday, June 1.

An additional period of one week is granted to those who live in departments 55 976, therefore for the entire Paris region, in particular, or even Mayotte. They will have until Thursday, June 8.
