The glazed donut manicure is ultra trendy for summer 2024
The trend for nude tones therefore gives rise to a particular trend: glazed donut nails. As its name suggests, this manicure refers to the glaze that can be found on donuts. “We’re going to see the glazed donut again. It’s the nails in a nude color, very natural but which will have a finish as if it were varnished with slightly pearly. “It continues this trend.” explains Cristina Cordula on her Instagram account.
The idea is therefore to have natural nails that are slightly pearly and why not with a metallic effect. Because it’s another big trend: metallic nails. “And the other trend that we’re going to see a lot of, It’s metallic chrome. It looks like it’s steel. And there, we will have the silver color, there is also red, green or blue, with this steel finish. We’re going to see that everywhere.” says Cristina Cordula. Another novelty in the same spirit as the glazed donut nails: the soap nails trend. “Nails that are nude, natural, that shine nicely. It’s as if I just washed my hands and my nails afterwards are completely white. It goes with everything, it’s chic, I love it”, explains the fashion queen.

The fashion and beauty expert also notes that brown is still trendy for manicures. Christina Cordula herself wears this practical color since it goes with all clothing colors. Without forgetting the eternal red color which is simply timeless. “Red is timeless, we want red in summer. We are more coral in summer, we really like it. But the big trend is cherry red”, notes Cristina Cordula.
“When it comes to nail shapes, there is the square tip nail trend,” indicates the expert. Before explaining that the shape of the nails should match the shape of your hand. “So if you have thinner fingers, it’s more likely to be nails with a more rounded tip. If you have larger, larger hands, then the square tip suits you well,” she concludes.
