After the successive departures of Mikaël Mittelstadt, Nicolas Anselmo, Fabian Wolfrom, Thomas Da Costa, Khaled Alouach, Claire Romain, Rik Kleve, Agustin Galiana and more recently Kathy Packianathan, another emblematic figure of the program is preparing to give up his apron.
Present since the launch of the series in 2020, Aurélie Pons, the interpreter of Salomé Dekens, will indeed leave the TF1 culinary soap opera after four years of good and loyal service.

This is in an interview given to the magazine TV Star that the actress announced the bad news.
“I need to take flight“, she confides, adding, “There is a real parallel between Salomé’s decision and mine. My character spent four years at the Institute. For my part, these almost four years in the series, I see them as training, an apprenticeship as an actress“.
A carefully considered decision, especially since “in a daily series, it takes six months to orchestrate the exit of a character”.
How will the writers justify the departure of the actress?
Fans can rest assured, the writers did not plan to make Salomé die.
According to the actress, “While jogging on the beach with Kelly and Maya, Salomé falls in love with an abandoned restaurant. A very beautiful building by the sea for which she has a real crush. Seeing this abandoned restaurant that is for sale, it clicks in Salomé’s mind. She decides to make an offer to buy it“.
Salomé will therefore leave the Auguste Armand Institute to become the owner of a restaurant in Brittany. A logical end for the character who is in the last year of his master’s degree at the institute.
“It’s the end of his studies and it corresponds to the end of the cycle for my character,” specifies the interpreter of Salomé on this subject before indicating that ”continuity for her is taking off by becoming the owner of this magnificent establishment in Brittany”.
A definitive departure?
Despite this departure, Aurélie Pons however leaves the door open to a possible return. Still in the columns of our colleagues, she says that her character “will just be in a restaurant in Brittany, it’s not that far. So if one day Salomé has to return to the Institute, it will be with great pleasure… But not right away“.
This is enough to give a little balm to the hearts of die-hard fans of Here it all begins.
