“Finally, for us, with the arch around the pastry days, it came together well”continues the producer, in reference to the plot about Bérénice within which the authors managed to insert Ethan’s departure in a fairly organic way.
“Ethan is a character that we positioned from the start as a bit like someone who was torn alive. Someone who had a complicated relationship with his mother, who didn’t feel legitimate where he was because he had the feeling of living by proxy. . For us, his departure played out in a fairly natural way. And I think that we well constructed the way in which he positioned himself vis-à-vis Bérénice at that moment, by opposing his mother. Which was something quite glorious for him.”.

What future for the Cardone family in the series?
Let Here It All Begins fans rest assured: Ethan’s departure does not mean the end of the Cardone family in the series. Indeed, Annabelle, Teyssier’s former mentor and feared leader of the students who runs a prestigious competing school in Lille, will soon reappear on the screen, without further details at this stage.
“It’s not because Ethan is gone that we won’t see Cardone again. She remains an important character for us”Eglantine Sofianos confirmed to us, before ensuring that, as always in Here it all begins, the door obviously remained open to a possible return of Ethan one day: “Like any actor who leaves, Rik knows that the door remains open and that Ethan can always come back”.
