Here it all begins: Maxime’s departure, the disaster prom… The most significant moments of 2022

Before seeing what “Here it all begins” has in store for us in 2023, a look back at the best plots of the past year. Between Maxime’s departure, the prom from hell or the separation of “Greliott”, we were far from bored!

In its short history, the year 2022 will have been the year of the greatest challenge for Here it all begins. Indeed, Clément Rémiens decided to leave the soap opera when the fiction was built all around him at the start!

Almost a year after the release of the young man and Maxime, his character, it is therefore time to take stock… And the least we can say is that life at the Institut Auguste Armand does not hasn’t been easy!

At the dawn of 2023, discover inside our slideshow our favorite intrigues of the last twelve months. Between the arrival of Axel (Thomas Da Costa) then the horrible prom, without forgetting the bulimia of Hortense (Catherine Davydzenka) or the separations of the couples Louis/Charlene (Fabian Wolfrom, Pola Petrenko) and Eliott/ Greg (Nicolas Anselmo, Mikaël Mittelstadt)… there’s something for everyone!

The departure of Clément Rémiens

ITC / TF1

What ?! When ?! How ?! Why ?! The announcement of the departure of Clément Rémiens from Here it all begins had the effect of a bomb at the start of 2022… and shook the entire Auguste Armand Institute! Worried, the fans feared to see their favorite soap opera collapse, built at the base around the defector character of Tomorrow belongs to us…

But it is clear that after a successful farewell, the absence of the young man was quickly filled thanks to the renewal of the plots, the dynamics and the cast. A major challenge taken up hands down by the fiction teams who immediately knew how to bounce back! Despite everything, we strongly hope for the return of the prodigal son in ITC in 2023, if only for the time of a narrative ark…

The arrival of Axel Teyssier

ITC/TF1

Presented, perhaps wrongly, as the replacement for Clément Rémiens when he arrived in Here it all begins in March 2022, Thomas Da Costa quickly knew how to carve out his own place in the series. And in the hearts of fans, both Axel Teyssier, his character, is one of the very good surprises of this past year.

His obstacle course to prove that he had his place at the institute, his discovery of the world of cooking, his touching love story with Jasmine (Zoï Severin), his mentor-student relationship with his uncle, the formidable Emmanuel Teyssier, or his “bromance” with Ethan and Solal… We loved following the first steps of this new character. Today, Axel is one of the central figures of the series who, by his charm, his humor, and the naturalness of his interpreter, knew how to seduce us.

Hortense’s bulimia

Here it all begins regularly addresses important social issues. After having been at the heart of the “Sugar Daddy” plot which explored escorting among young people and having supported Mehdi in his fight against cancer, Hortense (Catherine Davydzenka) found herself this year at the heart of an ark which left no one indifferent.

With the leak of Hortense’s video diary, the series did not hesitate to tackle eating disorders and more particularly bulimia in a frontal manner. A still taboo and complex subject that Catherine Davydzenka defended with heart, not hesitating to lose weight for more realism. The opportunity for the actress to show a new facet of her acting palette and deliver a moving performance.

The prom

ITC/TF1

Evening wear, disco ball and dance floor… all the ingredients were there to ensure that the students of the Institut Auguste Armand had a memorable evening. Alas, this event will indeed remain forever in the annals but for much less festive reasons! With this drama (among the dramas already in progress), ITC put a big kick in the anthill and knew how to surprise its public. Celebrations that turn into disaster, followed by serious consequences, we want more!

Constance’s infidelity

Screenshot/TF1

Constance (Sabine Perraud) is a gentle, benevolent and empathetic woman, the complete opposite of Emmanuel (Benjamin Baroche) who is a tough and demanding man. Character often erased, Constance had the right this year to a beautiful intrigue which could well have put an end to the marriage of the couple Teyssier.

Abandoned by her husband, the nurse ended up finding an attentive ear in the person of Zacharie Landiras (Julien Alluguette). Feeling listened to but above all desired again, she then cheated on Emmanuel by starting an affair with the young pastry chef. If this plot allowed the screenwriters to highlight the midlife crisis and the empty nest syndrome, it will above all have been the opportunity to discover a more rebellious and assertive Constance. And that works well!

The passionate love story of Théo and Célia

Screenshot/TF1

Here is a couple that we had not seen coming and who quickly seduced the public of Here it all begins. Attracted to each other, Théo (Khaled Alouach) and Célia (Rébecca Benhamour) did not take long before succumbing to temptation and living a passionate love story. A subject that had never been treated so far in the series. Ultimately, what we will remember above all is the succession of disputes and reconciliations between them.

Unfortunately, Célia and Théo’s idyll did not last and the young woman left Calvières to settle in Paris where a new life as a chef awaited her. A departure that gave rise to moving farewells. Today, the son Teyssier seems to have found love again in the arms of Vic, but the couple that we now call Thélia is still missing a lot from the series. In any case, the palpable chemistry between Rebecca Benhamour and Khaled Alouach will be remembered for a long time.

The arrival of the new season 3

Capture TF1

David, Samia, Ethan, Billie and Vic joined the Auguste Armand Institute at the start of the school year in September 2022. Passionate, determined, sometimes rebellious, the first years have not failed to fuel the intrigues of this start of season 3! Between the (re)formation of the Cercle by the girls, the daring webcam sessions of Billie (Margaux Kembi Aguilar) with Louis or even the love triangle formed by David-Anaïs-Lisandro (Liam Hellmann, Julie Sassoust, Agustin Galiana), we wonder when the students have found the time to study…

Special mention 1: thanks to his family relationship with Cardone (Alexandra Vandernoot), Ethan (Rik Kleve) is the door open to many returns from his Machiavellian mother on the side of Calvières… And we can only disagree rejoice! Moreover, with his addiction to drugs and his budding love affair with Samia (Emma Boulanouar), Ethan has become one of our promo darlings!

Special Mention 2: A true problem magnet, Vic (Lou Ladegaillerie) has injected spice into his arches thanks to his various shenanigans. She also made Theo smile again… which was no mean feat! We can’t wait to see how her relationship as enemy sisters with Hortense will evolve.

Anaïs’ “wound”

ITC/TF1

It’s a tradition in Here it all begins: many narrative arches explore the past or the family stories of the students of the institute. So, after Salomé, Greg, Hortense, Eliott or even Jasmine, it was Anaïs (Julie Sassoust) who finally had the right to her family intrigue this year.

Confronted with the arrival in Calvières of her ex, David (Liam Hellmann), Anaïs saw her past reappear unexpectedly and was forced to reveal to Salomé and Lisandro (Augustin Galiana) the wound she kept secret: death. of her brother Mathieu, of whom she never ceased to feel guilty. Very beautiful, this moving plot allowed us to learn more about Anaïs and once again to highlight all the talent of Julie Sassoust, who shone with her accuracy throughout the ark.

The humiliation of Louis by Charlene

Capture TF1

Throughout the year, Louis (Fabian Wolfrom) and Charlène (Pola Petrenko) animated the sometimes purring intrigues of the soap opera. Between crises and multiple reconciliations, the tension between them reached its peak when Mademoiselle Teyssier walked in the worthy footsteps of her father, during the dinner for the thirty years of the Institute, to take revenge on her fiancé… A horrible and enjoyable moment at the same time, summed up in one word: drama!

Separated after this coup, we suspect that the lovebirds will nevertheless come back to each other at some point… However, a note for next year: be careful not to pull too much on the rope of the “evil couple” so as not to fall into the caricature of terrible lovers, who love each other then hate each other excessively.

The separation of Greg and Eliott

Capture TF1

Perfect, untouchable, iconic… and ultimately boring. Provoking the breakup of “Greliott”, one of ITC’s leading couples, was a bold bet for the authors of the daily. Moreover, immediately, the fans of the duo stepped up to fight for the preservation of their romantic relationship.

These turmoil were however necessary to revive the interest of the viewers towards this couple already very (too?) established and to explore new perspectives. Unsurprisingly, Greg and Eliott (Nicolas Anselmo) patched things up and we’re basically very happy with it too… That said, Mikaël Mittelstadt’s departure from the soap opera inevitably risks reshuffling the cards!
