Here it all begins (spoilers): to save Ethan’s place at the Institute, Cardone puts himself in danger

On September 15 in Here it all begins (TF1, 6:35 p.m.), Louis becomes a professor at the Institute, Rose officially opens the Masters and Cardone makes an unexpected decision…

In the episode ofHere it all starts from Thursday, September 15, 2022, Myriel (Frédéric Diefenthal) informs Claire (Catherine Marchal) that Louis (Fabian Wolfrom) has come to apply for the position of cooking professor at the Institute. Chef Guinot isn’t sure hiring her son is a good idea. Louis may be very good professionally, he is much more difficult to manage humanly. Moreover, she thinks that Louis should distance himself from the Institute and from her. Later, Teyssier announces to Myriel that he has decided to hire Louis as a teacher. Even if he doesn’t like his son-in-law, he can’t deny the fact that he is up to teaching at the Institute. Myriel points out that this decision may not sit well with Claire, but agrees that the Guinots’ personal differences should not interfere with the smooth running of the school. Teyssier therefore makes his decision: Louis is going to become a teacher again. Later, Louis joins Teyssier in the kitchen. The latter announces to her that he has chosen him for the position of professor, even if Claire did not agree with this hiring. Learning that his mother has tried to keep him away from the Institute, Louis grits his teeth.

It’s back to school for Master’s students. Salomé (Aurélie) and Anaïs (Julie Sassoust) are stressed, as is Enzo (Aziz Diabaté), who fears being disappointed by the course set up by Rose Latour (Vanessa Demouy). For his part, Livio (Corentin Pellis) meets Charlène (Pola Petrenko) and tries an approach, but the young woman proudly displays her engagement ring to repel his advances. To open the Master, Rose puts the small dishes in the big ones. For two days, she brings Cécile Meyer, a multi-starred chef who dazzles new students. Salomé, Anaïs and the others are over the moon, but Charlène points out a detail to them: Chef Meyer has a reputation for starting or stopping the careers of young chefs.

At the end of the day, Chef Meyer takes stock with Rose. She is surprised that the latter announced that she was only staying two days, when in reality she was hired as a teacher. Rose explains that she lied so that the young chefs give their all and impress their new teacher from the start. Exactly very impressed, Anaïs and Salomé come to thank the starred chef for her excellent course…

Cardone lies to cover for Ethan

In the early morning, the Teyssiers gather at the entrance to the Institute. Axel (Thomas DaCosta) wants to know what his uncle plans to do in Ethan (Rik Kleve) now that he confessed to taking drugs before the contest, but Teyssier refuses to tell him anything. In the kitchen, Cardone (Alexandra Vandernoot) gives a soap to her son. She can’t believe Ethan took amphetamines to pass the contest. The young man explains that he wanted to make her proud, but for his mother, that does not excuse anything, especially since such a mistake could compromise his future career. To help her son, Annabelle asks him not to try anything. It is she who will take care of Teyssier.

In the principal’s office, Ethan admits having taken drugs before the entrance exam to the Institute. Myriel points out that this cannot go unpunished, out of respect for the other contestants, but Annabelle refuses to let her son get fired. She claims to have asked Ethan herself to take amphetamines before the contest, in order to ensure that he passed and did not shame her in front of Teyssier. Myriel finds it hard to believe that a mother could dope her son to make him succeed, but Teyssier is easily convinced. Coming from Cardone, nothing surprises him. At the same time, the chef joins her son in the park of the Institute and asks him why he wants to become a chef: for him, or for her? Ethan replies that he wants to become a chef for the kitchen, because he is passionate about it. Sweet as she rarely is, Annabelle promises him that he will end up weaning himself and convinces him to go and get ready for his next class. Even though the whole Institute knows about the amphetamines, Ethan doesn’t have to hide.

In the park, Ambre (Claire Romain) informs Tom (Tom Darmon) and Solal (Benjamin Douba) of what she discovered about Ethan. By learning that the Cardone son is his aggressor, Tom decides to go and settle his accounts with him, but Amber points out to him that he will gain nothing from it. Determined to take revenge despite everything, the young man informs the whole Institute of what Ethan did during the contest. During chef Armand’s (Elsa Lunghini) class, Ethan gets called a cheater by his peers, but Axel doesn’t care. He decides to work in pairs with his friend. As for Samia, she stands up for Ethan to save him from a public lynching… Touched, the young man will thank her after class. He offers her to go for a walk, but Samia is clear with him: if she came to his defense, it was to avoid him being harassed. Nevertheless, she no longer wants to deal with him and puts an end to their barely started story…
