Here we act – The mountain facing the climate challenge



In the midst of a health crisis, the word transition is nestled in all mountain assistance plans, to reduce dependence on skiing. But it was the climate crisis that, from the 1990s, encouraged the most vulnerable to diversify. From now on, at all altitudes, greenwashing is no longer an illusion.
Far from being the most emitting, the high altitude areas are the most exposed to the climate. By the end of the century, 80% of the glaciers will have melted and at less than 2000 meters, the slopes have already lost a month of snow cover.
