Like many players, you may have spent your weekend on the excellent remake of Resident Evil 4. And yes, this complete overhaul of the cult game released in 2005 has just arrived on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series and PC this Friday, March 24, 2023.

For the occasion, Capcom has released a final launch trailer, a sort of summary of what awaits you in the game. As we mentioned in our full test of the title, Resident Evil 4 Remake doesn’t forget any highlights from the original.

As in 2005, after a few minutes of play, Leon has to survive during an intense and endless fight in the village, the first zone of the game. In Hardcore mode, this passage can cause cold sweats for its difficulty.

Players bypass village fight

Nevertheless, some smart guys have found an effective way to end this confrontation in just a few seconds. Normally you have to hold on and survive until the church bells ring. At this precise moment, the Ganados drop their weapons and give up the fight to go to “mass”.

Well, why wait and waste your life and ammunition when you can speed up the process and quickly send the faithful to prayer. Here are the steps to follow :

  • Once the confrontation has started, go to the house where Leon is sheltering for a few moments before being attacked by the chainsaw man
  • Upstairs (where the shotgun is), jump out the window just to the right of the stairs
  • From this position, you can see the church tower in the distance and shoot the bell

Be careful though, the operation only seems feasible if you have a sniper rifle in possession, due to the distance between you and the building. In fact, this trick is valid only during your new game Morewhen you restart the game with all your equipment.

Anyway, this ruse will probably make the speedrunners happy, who will be able to save precious minutes on the clock by avoiding this somewhat long collision.
