While the government paid for part of this increase for several months, with discounts applied directly at the pump, this aid is now history and replaced by a “fuel allowance”, which targets households with the lowest incomes. lower.
Since Monday, January 16, it is possible to request this aid in the amount of 100 euros online, on the dedicated section on the tax site. The process is not the most complicated, but you will need to enter some information.
Help for low-income households
To benefit from this exceptional assistance, you must first be at least 16 years old and provide the registration of your vehicle.
Regarding your income, only individuals whose reference tax income does not exceed 14,700 euros (i.e. 1,314 euros net monthly) are eligible. For couples and families, simply divide the taxable income by the number of shares to find out if you are eligible.
If you are a couple, with two vehicles, and each member of the household does not exceed the maximum income indicated, you can claim 200 euros in aid for the purchase of fuel.
The aid is only distributed to people who use their vehicle to go to work. A sworn statement is required when validating the form. Stay-at-home parents, as well as retired and unemployed people, are not affected by this aid. For the latter, Pôle Emploi offers special assistance to assist recipients who need their vehicles when looking for a job.
Once the request has been completed, you will have to wait a fortnight to receive the amount by transfer to your bank account.
The government also encourages carpooling with specific aid starting from the first journey made.
