The iPhone 15, expected next September, is at the heart of many rumors on the web. This time, it’s Mark Gurman who talks about the next iPhone, the iPhone 15.

LIPO-OLED panels

The main characteristic of these new models would reside in the use of LIPO-OLED panels. LIPO is a low injection pressure overmolding (Iow-Iinjection preassure ohworm molding)a process for reduce screen border size to 1.5 millimetersagainst 2.2 millimeters on current models.

This isn’t the first time thin bezels have been hinted at for the iPhone 15. Ice Universe had previously revealed a photo of the supposed iPhone 15 screen. thin never before seen on a smartphone, marking a significant step forward in design.

Repairability also for Pros

The Pro models of the iPhone 15 could inherit the advances in repairability of the iPhone 14, allowing smartphones to be opened from both the front and the back. This modification would thus make repairs much easier, in particular the replacement of the back cover.

The iPhone 15 Pro would havea titanium frame, better rear cameras and a longer focal length telephoto lens on the Pro Max. Moreover, theApple A17 Bionic and the new multi-function button will be exclusive to Pro models.

All four iPhone 15 series models will ditch the Lightning port for one USB-C portand the base models will be upgraded to the Apple A16 Bionic from the iPhone 14 Pro.

An expected price increase

Mark Gurman states that prices for all four models would see an increase worldwide, except for base models in the United States. Inflation seems to be the reason behind this rise.

In addition to iPhones, Apple is also expected to launch new watches in September, including an Apple Watch Series 9 and an Apple Watch Ultra 2. The major change is the Apple S9 ARM-SiP, which would improve the performance of the Apple Watch for the first time since the launch of the Apple S6 chip in 2020.
