The great return of one of the most popular literary sagas
Hero of Rick Riordan’s literary saga, to which he gives his name, the young Percy Jackson distinguished himself in a number of epic trials which are far from coming to an end. Indeed, a sixth volume entitled The Chalice of the Gods will be released on March 13, to the delight of regular readers.
After a first film adaptation, signed in 2010 by the famous Chris Columbus, Percy Jackson makes his big return to the screens in Percy Jackson and the Olympiansan original series available exclusively on Disney+ since December 19, ideal for diving back into its first adventures.
Gods and monsters, friends and enemies, there are many who Percy will encounter in his quest. But don’t be fooled by appearances: not everyone is who they say they are, and some are masters in the art of illusion… Take a look at these colorful characters!
Percy Jackson, the young demigod (Walker Scobell)

Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) hasn’t had an easy life. After being abandoned by his father, the boy is raised by his mother and her new companion, whom he does not like. Bullied at school, mocked for his dreamy nature, Percy becomes aware of strange powers at the age of 12. He proves capable of seeing and hearing what is invisible to others, of controlling water or of repelling threats that would try to harm him.
As soon as his powers are revealed, Percy is assailed by monsters that only he can perceive. His mother is then forced to reveal his true nature to him: the boy’s father is none other… than a god! Very quickly, the benchmarks of his life collapse and Percy must learn to live differently.

Luckily for him, Percy isn’t alone. Since his early childhood, he has been unconsciously guided by his best friend, Grover (Aryan Simhadri). Far from being a simple schoolboy, he actually turns out to be a satyr charged with watching over Percy by the deities of Olympus. A true guide and faithful companion, Grover is never far away when Percy needs help!

When Percy learns his true nature, he is sent by his mother to a colony of demigods, where he will be protected from threats who seek to harm him and surrounded by children like him. Among them, Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffis), a bright and resourceful teenager. No wonder, since she is none other than the daughter of the goddess of wisdom Athena.
Following a prophecy made to her when she was a child, Annabeth is convinced that her destiny is to support a great hero in his quest. Percy’s arrival at the colony makes her doubt: could this child be the hero she was waiting for?

But when his powers awaken, she takes it upon herself and reveals the whole truth to him. But the road turns out to be strewn with pitfalls and monsters, ready to do anything to capture Percy. Will Sally be able to protect him?

Percy’s Latin teacher, Mr. Brunner (Glynn Turmann) is the only one who understands the child. Wise and caring, he plays the role of both mentor and guide, just like Grover.
