After his hospitalization, Pope Francis was able to celebrate the traditional Easter Mass, in front of nearly 100,000 faithful. Believers from all walks of life, happy to see the sovereign pontiff in better shape, even if his state of health still raises questions.

Ten days after the hospitalization of the sovereign pontiff, many faithful made the trip to Saint Peter’s Square in the Vatican, to be able to attend Pope Francis’ Easter mass, followed by his blessing. Urbi and orbi.

“To see, hear and listen to the Pope’s Mass. It is a great emotion. It squeezes your heart and completely takes your hand to be all together on this day which reminds us of the importance of being in peace, serenity and in community”, explains Julia, who came to attend mass with her friend, Laura.

“He has great strength”

The pope had given up on Friday evening to attend the Stations of the Cross at the Colosseum because of the cold, which today did not prevent him from celebrating mass. “He is brilliant and he really has great strength,” exclaims Julia, listening to the words of the sovereign pontiff.

“It is faith that makes him go forward, love for his people, for the Church. Even in the face of difficulties, the pope is always present,” says Gioachino. The pope indeed presided over all the celebrations of Holy Week, after having spent a few days in the hospital for an infectious bronchitis.
