The hesitant New York Stock Exchange opened slightly in the green on Wednesday, in an uncrowded market ahead of the end of a dire 2022 for stocks.
A few minutes after the open, the Dow Jones index advanced 0.23% and the Nasdaq climbed 0.25%, after opening in the red as did the S&P 500. On Tuesday, these indexes ended the session divided: +0.11% for the Dow Jones, -1.38% for the Nasdaq, with strong technological coloring, and -0.40% for the broader S&P 500 index.
