(AOF) – In the first half of 2022, Hexaom publishes a turnover of 549.8 million euros. This 10% growth in production, achieved on a like-for-like basis, is comparable to the first half of 2021 which had reached a historic level. For the second quarter of the current financial year, the company achieved a turnover of 289 .3 million euros, up 7.5% compared to the same period of the previous financial year.
For 2022, due to the good commercial performance recorded over the whole of the 2021 financial year and a start to the 2022 financial year in line with forecasts, the group’s production should once again show growth, despite a context of longer construction times.
Although the group demonstrates good resilience, it nevertheless remains very vigilant about maintaining its margins in an economic environment still marked by an increase in inflation with, in particular, costs of materials and subcontracting under pressure.
In addition, it also remains very attentive to the level of profitability of its B2B renovation activity. The measures put in place to improve its margins do not yet enable this subsidiary to achieve the objectives set. Its results will be clearly in deficit in the first half.
Furthermore, in order to adapt its listing compartment to the size of its market capitalization, Hexaom is currently studying the project of transferring to Euronext Growth Paris.

Concern and Caution
La Capeb wants to be cautious in its forecasts for the whole year. It expects business growth of between 1.5 and 2.5% in 2022 due to economic uncertainties and rising prices. For its part, the French Building Federation (FFB) is expressing its concerns about the fall in sales of new housing for 2023. It also calls for measuring the impact of the ecological and digital transition on the sector. The RE2020 standard would thus generate additional costs of 5 to 12%. She would like to see a “National Construction Council” set up, recalling that the sector created more than 8,000 jobs during the first quarter.
