“Hey, there’s a fire!” – firecracker chaotics started a fire in Vienna’s favorites

There was already a lot of fire going on in Vienna’s favorites one day before New Year’s Eve. The fire department confirmed that chaotic people started a fire by firing. A video from a passerby is said to show the incident at Reumannplatz.

Firecracker chaos caused a fire brigade operation in Vienna’s tenth district of Favoriten on Saturday evening. A video on social media suggests that a group of young people were shooting wildly. “Hey, there’s a fire,” shouts the passer-by filming to the group. On the recordings, firecracker explosions can be heard again and again in the background. One of the detonations apparently caused a vegetation fire. The Vienna professional fire brigade confirmed an operation in the tenth district to several media outlets. A vehicle and six emergency services were deployed at 6.30 p.m., an extinguishing line was laid and the source of the fire was then observed with thermal imaging cameras. Passers-by had already started fighting the fire with a fire extinguisher. The operation was ended after half an hour.
