A second series of explosions of communications equipment took place in Lebanon on Wednesday, September 18. At least twenty people died and 450 others were injured, according to the latest report released late in the evening by the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
The explosions took place in particular in the southern suburbs of Beirut, in the Bekaa Valley, in the district of Saida (Sidon) and in the region of Baalbek, in the east of the country.
The day after an attack attributed to Israel, which blew up thousands of pagers throughout the country, walkie-talkies belonging to members of Hezbollah were involved this time, according to what several sources close to the Lebanese Shiite movement and security sources reported to news agencies.
