For many people, toasted bread is simply part of Sunday breakfast. Just like the crumbs that leave a mess inside the toaster. But how do you get rid of the crumbs? The solution is very simple.

The toaster is an essential part of many kitchens. Instead of marching to the bakery on Sundays, they have home-toasted white bread for breakfast – often spread with plenty of butter and jam or Nutella. And: By the way, you can often use the toaster as an alternative to thaw frozen baked goods again. But after use, one problem remains: how to get it it’s best to put the crumbs back from the toaster?

Poke around with a fork? Very bad idea! Brush away the crumbs with the cosmetic brush? Works only superficially. Just from SFor security reasons, the “secret compartment” should be emptied regularly.

Even if you can hardly believe it: many people have apparently never heard of the toaster drawer and are downright surprised when they accidentally discover it or are pointed out. Evidence of this abounds on social media. The inventors and designers of the devices are to blame for this. The inventors, because the toaster is self-explanatory and therefore nobody reads the instructions for use with the information about the “secret compartment”. The designers, because they usually hide the “handle” of the crumb tray so skilfully in the housing that it can hardly be seen.
