Hideo Kojima confirms his exclusive Xbox cloud gaming game

Absent from the Summer Game Fest 2022 evening, Hideo Kojima appeared during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase to announce in collaboration with Microsoft. A horror title excluded from the manufacturer’s cloud gaming.

While working behind the scenes since the release of Death Stranding Director’s Cut, Hideo Kojima has just revealed one of his 2022 projects. Rumor has it, there is indeed an Xbox cloud gaming excluded game in the lot.

Hideo Kojima on an Xbox horror game

He was heavily tipped to step onto the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase stage and he did. The father of the Metal Gear Solid saga, Policenauts, Snatcher or even Death Stranding, was part of the show.

Hideo Kojima said he had signed an exclusive partnership with the manufacturer for a game designed for this technology. A “never seen concept” which should be the horror game Overdose, the project refused by Stadia.

To be able to play it, you will therefore need a high-performance and stable internet connection. The best configuration is to have the optical fiber and to be wired with your box. Thus, you will be sure to put the odds on your side to avoid large smearing pixels, heavy latency and general instability.

… while waiting for Death Stranding 2 on PS5?

Hideo Kojima is carrying out one of his projects that has been on his mind for a while, and Xbox seems, this time, the ideal ally. That being said, the rumor of a Death Stranding 2 on PS5 still stands as Norman Reedus, the actor behind Sam Porter Bridges, has twice confirmed that it’s in the works. But development will necessarily take longer.
