Hideo Kojima did appear from Tokyo at Gamescom 2022. To announce a game? No, but to promote a new podcast that more people can understand.
Somewhere, Hideo Kojima has reserved a surprise at Gamescom 2022, but not the one that we could legitimately think. Instead, he formalized one of his projects which isn’t a new game. Not exactly the place to be, but it’s sure to have touched millions of people.
A Hideo Kojima Podcast
Hideo Kojima had already expressed his desire to have a “radio” project and he will make it happen by next month. the September 8, 2022Kojima-san will broadcast a “Brain Structure” podcast on Spotify. As with his previous works, the creator will take the floor to discuss what fascinates him, whether games, films, books, art, philosophy or society. Themes found in his productions.
The good news for Anglophones is that contrary to the original plan, there will be a English version so that a large number of people can follow this program.
I wanted to share my ideas with a global audience and found Spotify to be the best way to communicate with all my fans and friends around the world.. It’s an ambitious approach to release every episode in both Japanese and English, but I’m looking forward to having a good time sharing my creative inspiration with listeners around the world.

Guests to support the father of MGS
In this “new adventure”, Hideo Kojima will receive the support of Geoff Keighley who will be there regularly but not only. We are talking about national and international guests in various sectors (business, technology and entertainment).
Without taking too many risks, we are also betting on director Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive, Bronson…), George Miller (the Mad Max saga, The Witches of Eastwick…), Jordan Vogt-Roberts (Kong: Skull Island, the future movie Metal Gear Solid…) or even maybe Michael Bay (Rock, Bad Boys…). If we put “news” in quotation marks, it’s because the creator of Death Stranding is not at his first attempt. When he was at Konami, he had his KJP Alert! and he was also on Youtube with Hideotube.
The episodes of Hideo Kojima presents Brain Structure will be available every Thursday at 2:00 p.m. (French time), in English and Japanese. As for Death Stranding 2… be patient! And even more for Xbox cloud gaming which isn’t coming anytime soon.
