Burglars stole several bicycles from garages and basements in Flachgau on Monday night. However, three other criminals were prevented from committing the crime and caught in the city of Salzburg.
On the night of May 20th, previously unknown perpetrators broke into two garages and an apartment building in Salzburg Bergheim. The burglars stole a mountain bike and an e-bike from it. In Elsbethen-Glasenbach, too, two owners reported thefts of e-bikes from basement compartments. The total damage amounts to several thousand euros.Caught in the actThree people were arrested by the police shortly after one o’clock on Elisabethstrasse in the city of Salzburg. Witnesses observed the suspects attempting to break into an apartment. Even before the police arrived on site, the three fled the scene. After a short manhunt, a 29-year-old Austrian woman and two 21-year-old men from Algeria and Morocco were stopped and arrested. The 21-year-old Moroccan behaved extremely aggressively and tried to resist arrest. The suspects were taken to the police detention center.
