Available on PS4 and PS5 since this summer, High on Life was one of the surprise successes of last year on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series Game Pass in day one. Squanch Games logically decided to capitalize on its popularity by announcing an extension, High on Knifewhich we are fully discovering today.
THE DLC was thus dated to October 3 on all platformsthrough an animated sequence in stop motion signed Taylor Wells. And if the video does not reveal gameplay, images and information allow us to better understand the content of this additional paid adventure. He will honor Knifey by making us stab new adversaries in an original science fiction setting, and will also allow us to handle 2 new quirky talking weapons, Harper And BALLwhich will help us hunt down the bad guy Mux. And a priori, it will offer a more horror-oriented experience and tension.
“High On Knife” gives Knifey his chance to shine (and stab) on a fully realized new planetary setting loaded with new characters, dangers, and frightening surprises.
Squanch has released a brand new stop-motion trailer that highlights the DLC’s spooky vibes and showcases the new raw trading cards you can collect, created by the legendary Joe Simko, the illustrator known for his work with [INSERER LICENCE CONNUE].
“High On Knife” also introduces a pair of new talking weapon characters. Harper, voiced by Sarah Sherman (Saturday Night Live), is an ex-military soldier who is trying to come to terms with her traumatic past. And then there’s BALL, which is a pinball-inspired gun used by a coordinated group of little guys doing their best. Players must explore a spooky new sci-fi setting while being hunted by Mux, a mysterious new boss played by the incomparable Gabourey Sidibe (American Horror Story, Precious).
High on Knife will not be included in the Game Passbut you can enjoy the base game and many other services in THE Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at €14.99 per month.
