The corona virus has been turning all of our lives upside down since spring 2020 and there is still no end in sight. Does the virus stay?
The so-called everyday masks initially prevented people who were already infected from passing the virus into the air and thus to other people by exhaling or speaking. However, they only protect the mask wearer to a limited extent, since viruses can in principle penetrate the fabric barrier.

After one country after the other introduced a mask requirement, the time had come for inventors and technicians – but also for windy business people.
On the one hand, masks with forged seals and certificates were in circulation that did not achieve the desired protective effect. On the other hand, crowdfunding sites such as Kickstarter or Indiegogo show a particularly large number of new masks whose makers want to use high-tech to put an end to the virus.
