Until Tuesday April 19, the high tides are back on the coast of the Channel and North Sea coastline.
Tidal coefficients rising from 100 to 103 are expected with bright sunshine over the entire region.
The maritime prefecture calls on users to “use the greatest caution” and recalls a few rules: be aware of the tide times so as not to be surprised by the flood and be able to anticipate the rise in water; take note of the weather conditions; do not go alone; inform them of their destination and their expected time of return, and have a means of warning and signalling.
#HighTides From Sunday April 17 to Tuesday April 19, 2022 inclusive, strong tidal coefficients are expected up to 103 for Monday April 18, 2022.

Finally, the prefecture recommends knowing the emergency numbers: 196 for the regional operational surveillance and rescue center (Cross) and 18.
Shore fishermen and walkers are particularly under the radar of the authorities, due to numerous accidents each high tide season. The authorities also point out that it only takes a few minutes to be isolated by the rising tide.
