"Little sister" was a wish of her children
Hilaria and Alec Baldwin have welcomed a new family member under their roof.

The Baldwin family is very happy. As mother Hilaria now reveals, daughter Lucia was an ardent wish of her children.
Hilaria (37) and Alec Baldwin (62, "30 Rock") are overjoyed on Instagram. Daughter Lucia, who, according to "People" magazine, was born via a surrogate mother, makes the family perfect. Now the yoga teacher explains about the newcomer: "The Baldwinitos longed so much to have a little sister." This wish came true.
But behind the couple and their children lies a difficult time. At the end of 2019, Hilaria Baldwin had lost her unborn child in the fourth month of pregnancy – a girl. Now she writes: "Not a day goes by that we do not mourn our daughter. When I found out that our baby had died, I told our children that their sister would come, just not at this time." Although nothing and no one could replace the deceased girl, with Lucia and her son Edu, born in September 2020, "two wonderful souls have entered our lives and we are grateful to know them".
Her children helped her over the loss
The 37-year-old openly and honestly admits in her latest Instagram post that her children were braver than the couple themselves "during the time of great sadness". "And they kept hope alive." Son Edu, her "rainbow baby", is a real blessing, writes Hilaria Baldwin. Rainbow children are those babies who were conceived after a breastfeeding or miscarriage. The boy, whose full name is Eduardo Pau Lucas, and daughter María Lucía Victoria would now "bring light into our lives". "Almost like twins", writes the mother of six, "we love you so much".
Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have been married since 2012 and have six children together: Carmen (born 2013), Rafael (born 2015), Leonardo (born 2016), Romeo (born 2018), Eduardo and Lucia. Alec Baldwin also has daughter Ireland Baldwin (25) from his previous marriage to actress Kim Basinger (67).
