The companion at the heart of the investigation

It was this man who had reported Aurélie’s disappearance on February 23, 2021 to the Bédarieux gendarmerie, three weeks after his partner gave him a sign of life for the last time, on January 28, according to him. He had told investigators that she had gone on a “literary retreat”. The couple met in the summer of 2020. “I can still see her smile again… It’s very hard to think that we will never see her again, ever again”, had testified one of the victim’s brothers to the Parisian. Judicial information opened for “kidnapping and forcible confinement” is now extended to murder.
